This was the final project for graduate Advanced Mechatronics I course at Santa Clara University.

The requirements stated that we had to design a "robust penny arcade machine" using skills and techniques from the class. The rest was up to the students.

My partner and I decided to create a Whack-a-Mole game. This could have been entirely done on a microcontroller but as we had just practiced all sorts of skills with digital logic and electronics we felt it would be a mistake to not make use of (and test) our knowledge.

We ended up creating a 2 player (1v1) game that was able to easily withstand 'enthusiastic' users banging down on the buttons that used 3 Arduinos (for modularity) and several circuit boards that we designed and soldered for digital game logic.

All in all it was a great project but next time I'll be making a PCB and skip the hand soldering...
